One of the newest attractions to grace Paradise Pier, and a clear indicator of the direction in which this corner of Disney's California Adventure is headed, is Toy Story Midway Mania. Here, beneath an ornate Victorian-era pavilion, Mr. Potato Head holds court, calling passersby to "step right up" and try their hand at the midway games put on by his Toy Story pals.
After disembarking the game trams, we return from the world of toys to the more human-scale environs of the boardwalk. First, we pass through a beautifully decorated period living space on the upper level of the pavilion. But wait a minute... What's that spread out on the floor? Why, it's the box for the Midway Games Playset itself; an incredible detail that's a pure joy to discover.
