Clever design flourishes can be found in every corner of the Disneyland Resort, right down to the restrooms. When it's time to "go" at Disneyland or Disney's California Adventure, the storytelling doesn't stop. In fact, it can be a lot of fun seeing the many different ways in which restrooms are identified throughout the parks, in keeping with individual settings or stories. For example, at the restrooms along Matterhorn Way, adjacent to the Alice in Wonderland attraction:

ReplyDeleteThere are actually restrooms upstairs inside the Liberty Tree Tavern, which is firmly rooted in Liberty Square. The divide with Frontierland doesn't come until after the Diamond Horseshoe Saloon. The popular myth that no restrooms were built in Liberty Square because there wasn't indoor plumbing at that time is just that, a myth.
ReplyDeletePerhaps a myth, but one that's being perpetuated by Disney castmembers on the "Keys to the Kingdom" tour. In fact, they even walk you around to demonstrate the steps you are taking places the restrooms outside the boundaries of Liberty Square.
